Colors of an uprising
A spontaneous demonstration took place on the evening of 17 October following the announcement of a tax on the free communication app Whatsapp. The mismanagement of the country by its leaders over the past 30 years as well as the recent fires that destroyed 1,200 hectares of forest contributed to the broke out of anger of the Lebanese people. It evolved in a popular uprising still ongoing.
This serie is an artistic and visual perspective of violent clashes in Beirut between October 17th and January 25th. It is absolutely not representative of what happened on the everyday life of this uprising.
